EMR Regional services receive boost in December timetable

  • Four weekday services between Nottingham and Crewe reinstated 
  • Two new services introduced between Peterborough and Lincoln on Saturday
  • New weekday Liverpool Lime Street – Nottingham service
  • Timetable change will also include a trial of Class 170 trains on the Liverpool - Norwich route - providing more seats at times customers want

Fraudulent travellers beware: More than £600k recovered from fare evaders

  • 2,033 fines progressed to court

Customers urged to check before they travel ahead of Midland Main Line engineering work

  • On Saturday (21) and Sunday (22) lines between Leicester and Kettering will be closed for engineering works
  • A rail replacement bus service will be in operation both days between Kettering, Market Harborough and Leicester
  • EMR Connect services will also start and terminate at Wellingborough, rather than Kettering or Corby
  • Some EMR services in Lincolnshire may also be affected by Storm Babet

Rail strike reminder: EMR services significantly reduced for next two Saturdays and no services on Friday, September 1

  • Members from the RMT Union will strike on Saturday, 26 August and Saturday, 2 September
  • Trains will only run between 06:30 - 18:30 - with last departures starting between 15:00 and 16:30
  • Customers are being advised to travel by rail only if absolutely necessary during strike action
  • Due to a number of big events including, Manchester United vs Nottingham Forest and Manchester Pride, services during the Bank Holiday Weekend are likely to be very busy
  • No services will run on Friday, September 1

  • Members from the RMT Union will strike on Saturday, 26 August and Saturday, 2 September
  • Trains will only run between 06:30 - 18:30 - with last departures starting between 15:00 and 16:30
  • Customers are being advised to travel by rail only if absolutely necessary during strike action 
  • On Sunday 27 August, EMR's Intercity and Connect services are likely to be very busy due engineering works on the East Coast Mainline

• Consultation period extended until 1 September
• Input from customers and independent watchdogs will help shape final proposals, so that all customers are supported as the railway responds to generational shifts in buying habits

Rail strikes reminder: EMR services significantly reduced on Thursday and Saturday

  • On 20 July, 22 July and 29 July many of EMR's routes will be reduced to one train an hour
  • Trains will only run between 07:30 - 18:30 - with last departures starting between 15:00 and 16:30
  • There will also be a number of train cancellations on Friday, 21 July due to action short of a strike by the ASLEF union - this could be as late as 22:00 the day before customers travel
  • Customers are being advised to travel by rail only if absolutely necessary
